We all know that reading is the key to education.

READING IS SO MUCH FUN!
Would you like Jose Hofstede to inspire your pupils
 to read and write?

Jose Hofstede is touring schools in the UK in May/June 2013. She Has visited more than 400 schools, for example: Eton Porny CE First School in Eton;  St Paul’s Cathedral School in London; Kirktonholme Primary School in Glasgow; Wardley Primary School in Gateshead; Hamsterley Primary School and Whitehawk Primary School in Brighton.

"Our pupils loved listening to José talk about how she created the wonderful Brave Hunter. The resources (pictures, books) she brought really engaged them and you could have heard a pin drop as she read the first few pages!  I know many of our pupils went away inspired to read, but also to write their own stories. A great opportunity for all - teachers included - to hear just what it takes to see your work in print, from conception to the finished product.
Thank you José!"

Rachel Price    Assistant Headteacher   English Martyrs'
RC Primary School in London.

The fact that published authors like Jose are willing to visit schools to share their knowledge and experience with young people is really wonderful. I hope that all the children who took part in the sessions today will have been inspired to read or write something new.

Head of English, Mrs Williams  of the Gayhurst Primary School in Gerrards Cross

It would be her pleasure to visit your school too.
You can book her for a morning, an afternoon or a full day visit FOR ONLY:
£ 85.- morning, £ 60.- afternoon or  £ 120,- for a full day.

Don't miss out on this one!

ABOUT THE EVENT.

The visit contains two sessions of about 60 minutes, one session with year 5&6 and one session with year 3&4.  In the morning there is also a session of 30 minutes with year 1&2.  When you book me for a full day the visit contains 4 sessions of an hour and one session of 30 minutes.

We have found that this creates a personal environment and gets the children fascinated and involved.  During each session I will talk about writing and publishing a book and why it is so important to read. I will read from one of my books, which will be followed by an interview done by the children.

The school will get a beautiful poster for the library and the children get the opportunity to buy the books for a special price, personally signed with a special message by the authoress.  Which could be a nice bonus for your school -library  because of each book sold 50 pence is donated into the library school-fund.

If you like to make a booking: you can contact us by e-mail on:
